Who is behind Colombia Informations Website?

My name is François Painchaud, and I am a Latin America fanatic. That is, when I am not attending to the other love of my life, learning new stuff about Internet, especially SEO, and working on Internet strategies.

People ask me how come I have so different areas of interest. This is how I explain it to them.

I consider myself lucky to have been working in the field of IT when the Internet bug bit the world big time in the early 1990s. It was the best time to be working in that field.

I was already working with the Linux OS, especially server management and network management, I dived headlong into the intriguing world of the internet. I formed my own company to cater to Canadian SMEs on internet strategy consulting, but soon we were setting up websites, providing search engine optimization and e-commerce solutions, hosting critical data, designing software and providing a bunch of informational, promotional and event based solutions. We provided a large number of clients across all conceivable sectors with complete software solutions – everything from customer relationship management to integrated ERP management software.

After implementing over 400 successful projects, I was felt satisfied with what I had achieved when something happened to open a completely new vista in my life, I traveled to Latin American.

It was love at first sight! After I successfully sold my company to investors, I went on to travel across Latin America for more than a year, picking up a lot of insights as I researched about the countries, the people, and their way of life.

This website was set up with the purpose of sharing these facts and these experiences.
