The Colombian people of today

We have all learned about Colombia and the people of Colombia when we were still in school. But if you are looking to travel to Colombia, you need to know that things have changed. The more information that you can take along with you, the better off you are going to be and the more fun you are going to have!

If you are looking to travel to Colombia, then you should probably learn a little bit about the actual population. The size of this country has grown so much that there are at least 40 million people! The neat thing about the culture today is the fact that kids, for the most part are well educated, they can read and they can write, and the education system there is thriving!

Despite what you might think, Colombia is a very diverse country, there are a mix of cultures within the actual country. People from Europe, Africa as well as Asia have migrated to live in Colombia which makes it excellent for the economy which is already trying to make a come back and recover from it's past.

For the most part the entire country is made up of Roman Catholics so you need to make sure that you are respectful of your surroundings and try and get involved. There are other religions these days such as Christianity, Judaism, and Islam.

Over the years, Colombia has changed immensely and it has become quite the vacation hot spot. If you are looking to take a little vacation and you think that Colombia might be the place for you, then make sure that you take a look at the country and see how it has changed and how it has stayed the same. While most people have moved to urban areas, there are others that still live the indigenous and traditional life.

The bottom line here is, whatever country you may find yourself in, you need to have a little bit of history in the back of your mind as well as current events so that you know what to expect and you can have fun and still be respectful. Colombia is a beautiful place to visit, and as long as tourists keep flocking to this country, then this country will continue to thrive and grow as a country. Just do a little bit of homework before you take off on your journey, and make sure that you have fun!
